Privacy notice
PoleLink is built to keep vehicle data on your own devices. This notice covers the PoleLink for Mac app and this website, polelink.evermedresearch.org.
The PoleLink for Mac app
- Diagnostic reads happen on your Mac, over the cable you connect. PoleLink doesn’t send diagnostic data, vehicle data, or usage analytics to EverMed Research.
- Each saved session is stored locally under your Mac’s Application Support folder. Standard OBD VIN values are masked and raw VIN bytes are removed before a report is written.
- A per-vehicle fingerprint used to group your sessions is kept in your Mac’s Keychain, not in the reports.
- Data leaves your Mac only when you export a report (JSON or PDF) and choose where to send it.
- macOS asks for your permission before PoleLink uses Bluetooth (for an optional OBD reader) or the local network (for optional gateway pairing).
The beta sign-up form
When you request beta access we store:
- your email address, vehicle, cable answer, and any note you add;
- when you submitted the form and your approximate country, as reported by our host.
We use this only to run the PoleLink beta and to email you about it. We don’t sell it, share it for advertising, or add you to unrelated mailing lists. Entries are stored with Cloudflare, our hosting provider, and kept until the beta ends or you ask us to remove them.
Submitting again with an address that’s already on the list doesn’t change its entry. To update your answers, remove your address below and sign up again.
To prevent abuse we briefly keep a hashed form of the network address that submitted the form, used only to count recent submissions. It expires automatically within an hour.
This website
This site doesn’t use cookies, advertising, or third-party analytics scripts. Cloudflare processes standard request data, such as IP addresses, to deliver and protect the site.
Remove your address
Enter the address you signed up with and we’ll delete its beta entry.
